The question "What is moisture wicking fabric?" comes up a lot when it comes to technical apparel. Moisture wicking is a fabric's ability to absorb sweat and then dry itself. This is super important when you are training or doing any sort of physical activity. Materials that are not moisture wicking will have you feeling sticky and keep your body very hot. This could be dangerous in extreme temperatures.

Some athletic brands are starting to add "water resistant" qualities to their fabrics. While this is okay for the purpose of rain this creates a buildup of sweat because the fabric is sealed and cannot breathe. This blocks moisture from being able to wick.

At HILO we have experienced hot and humid climates and we design all of our products to perform at the highest level with our signature breathable fabrics.
